The First Years Sectioned Suction Plate Minnie

This plate is a mess saver and preventer! Our daughter is just starting food and this plate helps keep her plate on her high chair.

My son is learning how to eat with developmental issues. This plate proved to be perfect because part of his therapy is learning not to be afraid of food. This plate is sectioned off into 2 areas. He can touch the food and even place it into the other section. Once he realizes the food is ok to touch he moves on to putting it into his mouth. So, I can see how wonderful it would be for NY child to eat out of, especially if they don't want food to touch. Or even to use one side to lay baby forks and spoons for use. But, for us, it proves beneficial for "food therapy" for children afraid of food or learning to eat at a slower pace!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Positives: The plate is sturdy and suctions to the table. My 4 year old daughter likes the Mickey designs and finds it easy to use. Negatives: It is very challenging to clean. And it's not dishwasher safe. This is a hindrance in a busy family.

My daughter loved it and didn't have any issues with it. Washed really well, no issues with that either. All around great plate and the design was super cute!

Which allows me to tell you that this thing really can handle some wear tear. It has been in the dishwasher numerous amounts of time as well hand washed and I have had no issue with the design coming off. I love that it suctions to his high chair tray and even our kitchen table. It's also great for taking to restaurants and not have to worry about them giving him a ceramic plate. It's great for dividing wet woods from dry foods. At snack time I can put crackers on one side and fruit on the other. This plate is so popular in our home that I had to get my 1 year old daughter one!

Also my child loved seeing their favorite characters while eating. The suction of the plate held very when secured properly to high chair tray.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The wavey grooves do help scoop food. But I just thought it looked cheap, and didn't care for the picture on it either. My child was also able to lift it despite the suction cups.

I love how there's a suction cup on the bottom of the plate so I can secure it to my son's tray on his high chair. Now the plate doesn't get tossed on the floor when it's mealtime. I also love how this plate is deeper than most so it holds more and helps keep the food in the bowl. Its also easy to clean and the suction cups doesn't lose their strength. I also love how there's a divider inside the plate that keeps food from touching. I have a picky eater that doesn't like his food to touch and this is really a blessing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter is almost two, and has one other suction plate, that doesn't suck. She can easily pull that off her tray. This TOMY suction plate is pretty cool. She can't pull it off her tray, and she loves Mickey and Pluto. To make it a game and motivate her to eat, I ask her to eat the foods so that she can see Mickey and Pluto. She hasn't learned how to use the grooves yet, but I'm sure as she grows it'll be beneficial to her spooning needs

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My toddler loves Mickey Mouse, so he was automatically excited. However, the separate sections and waves were very functional. And the suction was the best of any plates we have used.
