Perfect for transitioning from swaddling

Warm and comfortable. Perfect for transitioning from swaddling. Only downside is like other ergopouch sleep bags, the colours fade easily after a few washes.

Super warm, super snug and bubby sleeps so well! These are my favourite zip swaddles because they keep his arms down and when he’s ready to sleep in just a sleep sack there are buttons on the side so they can have their arms out. LOVE!

Really disappointed with the quality of this sleeping bag. The colour has faded immensely and is piling aleady, despite my baby only wearing it for a small amount of time. The stitching under the arms is also pulling apart and it is not tight on bubs at all.

Have always loved Ergopouch for my babies, this design is super smart for swaddle to arms out transition and feels thick/warm. However, loses a star as the internal fabric has balled/pilled very quickly and the fabric colouring appears faded/faulty (not vibrant or solid as I have come to expect from Ergopouch) even with minimal washing. I would suggest not for bigger babes as it is a firmer fit through the chest area.

Our Cocoon Swaddle Bags are designed to be both easy to use and difficult to escape from. This zip-up swaddle is TOG rated for warmth to keep a baby snug and securely swaddled without the need for complicated wrapping from day one. Being TOG-rated means that the 2.5 TOG can be used on its own in room temperatures between 17-23°C / 63-73°F with no blankets in the bassinet or cot to make this a safe sleep option for a newborn or baby. The chest area is 1.0TOG rated to prevent overheating and allow for full chest expansion when breathing.

The Cocoon Swaddle bag is made from natural fibres GOTS certified organic cotton and bamboo with a touch of elastane. This means it's firm enough to restrict startle reflex whilst still allowing stretch and movement for healthy growth. The stretch also allows for full chest expansion when breathing, added comfort, and for a baby to move its hands into a self-settling position inside the swaddle.

1. Lay Cocoon on flat, low surface with zip open and arm studs closed.

2. Lay baby on top of Cocoon. Tuck legs into swaddle, and zip up with baby's hands in desired position (by sides, or across chest).

3. To change a nappy or cool down baby, zip open from the bottom of the swaddle to release legs and lower torso. Zip closed again when finished.

4. Layer underneath for warmth as needed.

5. To transition to arms-out sleeping once showing signs of rolling, release arms by opening the studs on the shoulders. We suggest doing this one arm at a time over several days.

Gentle cold machine wash in mild detergent. Do not soak or bleach. Tumble Dry Low. Moderately Hot Iron. Drycleanable (P).
