The straw folds down onto a plastic tab that doesn’t seem removable. We’ve had a bottle with this lid for years and just discovered that molds collects underneath this plastic tab. You have to remove the straw and use a butterknife to pop the tab out (doesn’t fully disconnect) in order to clean it. From inside the lid, there is a small rubber seal. This also needs removed and cleaned. Up to this point, we’ve loved the water bottle because it’s durable and doesn’t leak.

Camelbak is great

the straws are too tall (taller than the original ones) so it is harder to close the water bottle. I ordered them for my kid's water bottles and it was labeled as such.
